How to make Greek Koulourakia

1 cup (250 g) of sugar
1 cup (250 ml) of white wine (or you can use rose wine  if you prefer)
1 cup (250 ml) of olive oil
All purpose flour (enough to bring the mixture together)
3 teaspoons of baking powder



In a bowl add the sugar, wine, olive oil and baking powder. Mix by hand and add enough flour to bind everything together. You want your mixture to be soft and not sticky. Leave the mixture to rest for 15 minutes.

Preheat the oven at 180 degrees.

Line a tray with greaseproof paper. Using a tablespoon take small amount of the mixture, roll and shape the cookies. Place on the tray.

Bake for 10 – 15 minutes until golden brown.
Let them cool down and enjoy them with your coffee or tea!

*The koulourakia will keep for a week or so in an airtight container.
