Greek Cheese Pie
How to make Greek Cheese pie
300g all-purpose flour
400g feta cheese (crumbled)
150g grated cheese (pecorino or kefalotyri works best)
salt & pepper to taste
Ingredients for mixture that goes on top of the pie:
30ml olive oil
Method Preheat the oven at 180 degrees.
Place the butter in a pan and heat in a low heat, until melted.
In a bowl mix the milk, eggs and season with salt and pepper. Add the melted butter and the flour.
Whisk everything together, so they are well combined and you have a loose batter.
Add the cheeses and mix everything together, again.
Butter an ovenproof dish on all sides and add the mixture.
Ready for the final step. In another bowl add the egg, milk and olive olive oil. Whisk everything together and add on top of the pie.
Place in the oven for 40 to 60 minutes, until the pie has cooked and there is a golden brown crust on top.
